Do-energy bulbs and save energy when repeatedly turned on and off several times a day?
Telegraph.co.uk Budget "bulbs low consumption are smaller versions of fluorescent lights in offices and public buildings. My query is: – As is commonly believed that the act of lighting Fluorescent lights create a power increase (caused by the starter solenoid). If so, is this the light energy-saving light bulbs less efficient than the previous one (filament) type in a family environment where bathroom and kitchen lights were on / off several times a day?
It's all about the heating time. "By using fluorescent light bulbs to a cool temperature at the time of initial start-up, either the CFL or long tubes, which require less energy than their incandescent counterparts. They also carry out these bulbs faster to do so. Fluorescent bulbs are best when operating at steady state, where light is desired steady state. It is best to place CFLs in which they were operating for at least one hour of use at a time. You are better off installing incandescent bulbs in baths, and going through cycles of higher frequency.
