PS3 HDMI to 7.1 surround sound setup?
I just bought a 7.1 surround sound system and my PS3 and Xbox 360 is connected with HDMI cables to the amplifier and an HMDI cable from the amplifier to my TV. I can not get the sound of the Xbox or PS3 and I would get no sound from HDMI optical lens is not compatible because to 7.1 Please help me! Oh yes my surround sound system is Onkyo HDMI 7.1 channel home theater system and the model number is HT-S5200 (B)
Your receiver does not support audio through HDMI so you have to use optical cable for 5.1 surround sound.
