Salsa recipe needed?
I attended a barbecue party last summer and the hostess had prepared a fresh, homemade salsa. It was incredible! I would like to find a recipe similar to it, please help. Links or recipes would be great. This is what I remember: it takes time to prepare vegetables as there were so many it takes to be cut, everything was cool, was more on the sweet side, obviously, it had tomatoes, red onion also, possibly, the corn and black beans. Also, the sauce seemed to have an oily base to it. It seemed like a kind of salad sauce served with tortilla chips. I would like more able to describe, but if you have the recipe you totally know what I mean. Thanks for the help!
Balsamic Black Beans and Corn Salsa 14 oz can black beans, drained 14 oz can corn kernels, drained 14 oz can diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained ¼ cup 2 tablespoons salsa verde olive oil 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 green onion, ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro, finely chopped 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 teaspoon ground cumin ½ teaspoon chili powder ¼ teaspoon salt Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Place in fridge until cool. Black Bean Salsa 2 cans black beans, rinsed and drained 2 to 3 large tomatoes or 10 plum tomatoes, crushed 2 to 3 green onions, crushed 2 to 3 cloves of crushed garlic and crushed 2 to 3 jalapeno's peppers, finely chopped 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped (dried or fresh) vegetable oil 2 tablespoons garlic salt to taste white pepper to taste Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
